Devotion to our Lord is whispering His name,
In the morning, at night, and at noon day.
Not starting your day without having moments with Him,
Reading and worshiping and praying for them.
Not just praying out request but waiting to hear,
Where He will lead each day, each month, and all year.
Offering up thanks for answering our prayer,
Praising Him when we think He just doesn’t care.
Loving our neighbors – the ones we dislike,
Forgiving the teen who stole our child’s bike.
Sharing the Good News to those deemed undeserving,
Spreading His love through our faith unswerving.
Being His hands and feet to reach those undesirables,
Rather than speaking tirelessly to explain the indescribable.
Giving your last $5 to the homeless man on the street,
Saying blessing that night for bread when you could have had meat.
Seeking Him early and praising Him late,
How much time should we spend – what a useless debate.
Devotion to our Lord so pure and so true,
Is simply walking with Him each day doing what we must do.
Say what you will – do what you desire,
But keep your heart devoted – don’t sink in the mire.
For our undivided devotion we deserve no credit,
Rather unto Him for our lives we are indebted.

Thank you for visiting.
