The CM at the community we are serving now is another special lady I’ve had the pleasure of making friends with. She is half Ottawa and made these beautiful dream catchers for our team as gifts forging our new friendships. When presenting them at our Volunteer lunch she told why she picked the color she used. For mine she said she used all the colors because I am so colorful. Hmmm…I’ve never thought of myself that way – different, but not colorful. After a little reflection I’ve decided I like that term better – colorful!

Reminds me of a children’s song we sang in church, “This little light of mine.” That’s more important than anything else we do – letting our light shine for Jesus and knowing that everything we do is illuminated by His light – or not!

Her perception of us has confirmed my belief that others do not see us in the same way we see ourselves and if we are letting the love of Jesus shine through (no matter how we feel inside) – that’s what people will see – Jesus.
