Poetry, Scriptures, Devotions, and Other Reflections

Poetry or not…

I know the new and/or good poetry is not supposed to rhyme but for me that is how it comes. I have always, since a child gotten these silly little rhyming lines in my head that if I took time to write them out, they would turn into a poem – or rather, a rhyme. For example, “There once was a bird in my tree” was a line that came to me and for days as I repeated it, I thought, “What does this mean” and as I questioned the Lord about it, He impressed upon me the rest – it became a beautiful testament of my lost love (my husband), and my new love with Jesus. It makes me cry when I read it because of the testament to God’s loving kindness – that’s all I am aiming for – creating a testament of God in my life (and yours).

So… please enjoy them (without literary judgements) just as they are, simple rhyming lines that come from my heart as a testament to my Jesus!

Scriptures…

As you will find speak for themselves, of course. Most always I read, write and study out of the New King James Version, but occasionally use others and will note that.

Devotions…

Are just that; notes from my personal devotions. I share in hopes that they will mean something to you for the day and beyond.

Other Reflections…

Simply, other reflections!
