I had been at my new work camping spot for five days and my slide was broken! My roadside ran out in March (good to know) but I couldn’t take it in anywhere because I had already committed to the job at the campgrounds.
My trailer is already small (16 feet) and with the slide not out – argh – there is no way to describe how hard it was. No money to pay a service guy so I’ve just prayed every day for God to give me the peace I needed to live in it as is, until I could get it fixed.
My peace was wearing thin today with no way to organize or put thing away – this morning I said, “Lord can you please just send me somebody to fix it for me.” It wasn’t really a prayer, it was more like a whine to a husband. An eeked out cry of desperation, with no real thought that anyone actually heard — or cared.

But He did hear. Today. Badda-bing just like that, done. How do I know He sent him – because I have not said a word about it to anyone, except Him. Well at least not to anyone that could do anything about it, maybe a sister or two. I could just hear the Lord saying, “I was just waiting for you to ask.”
I was just getting back from work at the front desk and a car pulled in behind me. The guy jumped out smiling, reaching out his hand to introduce himself and his wife who was peaking out the car window, as work campers here too. He said is there something wrong with your slide, you haven’t opened it since you’ve been here? His wife chimed in from the open window, “it has really been worrying him and he wanted to come help you.” Honestly, I couldn’t believe it!
It took him all of 20 minutes to fix it and my tears of frustration had been turned to tears of gratitude, and later, when alone tears of praise! It’s the small things sometimes that make the greatest impact.
“It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer;
And while they are still speaking, I will hear.” — Isaiah 65:24 NKJV
And that is exactly how quick it was! I love my Jesus! Not because of how much He ‘does’ for me – but because of how much He ‘cares’ for me!

Thank you for visiting.
